SITERWELL Electronics Announces 55.7% Carbon Intensity Reduction in Sustainability Milestone

Corporate Sustainability Commitment

As a global leader in fire safety electronics and solutions, SITERWELL ELECTRONICS CO., LIMITED has established energy conservation and emission reduction as core pillars of its sustainable development strategy. We have reduced carbon emission intensity per unit of revenue by 55.7% from 2019 to 2024, exceeding our environmental targets.

During this period, driven by strong business momentum, our direct carbon emissions grew from 0 metric tons to 29.5 metric tons (32.5 US tons), while indirect emissions rose from 2,236 metric tons (2,465.2 US tons) to 3,935.7 metric tons (4,344.3 US tons). Nevertheless, thanks to continuous improvements in operational efficiency and green practices, we successfully achieved a substantial reduction in carbon intensity per unit of revenue. This progress underscores the effectiveness of our sustainability initiatives and reaffirms our commitment to balancing business growth with environmental stewardship.

Integrating Safety Technology with Ecological Development

In humanity's transition toward ecological civilization, the convergence of safety technology and green development has become imperative. While safeguarding homes and businesses worldwide, we actively fulfill our environmental commitments through concrete actions.

Sustainable Development Initiatives

1. Renewable Energy Innovation

Our 8,000-square-meter (86,111 sq ft) high-efficiency photovoltaic array forms a distributed energy system with annual generation capacity of 0.771 MWp, annually achieving:

  • Reduction of 750 metric tons (827 US tons) CO₂ emissions (equivalent to 36,250 mature trees' carbon absorption)
  • Conservation of 250 metric tons (276 US tons) standard coal
  • Reduction of 200 metric tons (220 US tons) particulate matter, 22 metric tons (24 US tons) SO₂, and 11 metric tons (12 US tons) NOx emissions

2. Intelligent Manufacturing Transformation

Through digital workshop development and advanced technologies, we've optimized production processes for significant energy efficiency improvements.

3. Circular Economy Practices

Our products incorporate recyclable materials from initial design, ensuring environmentally responsible lifecycle management without compromising safety standards.

Global Certification Achievement

In June 2024, SITERWELL earned the EcoVadis Bronze Medal certified by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), demonstrating international excellence across eight criteria including product carbon footprint calculation and supply chain environmental management. This validates our commitment to delivering low-carbon, intelligent safety solutions truly "Made for Green Future."

Executive Statement

“Sustainability serves as the foundation of our business strategy, driving continuous improvements in both technological innovation and operational mindset," emphasized SITERWELL's CEO. "Our solar microgrid's 750-metric-ton annual CO₂ reduction demonstrates how industrial advancement can achieve synergy between ecological preservation and fire safety technology development."
