SITERWELL Limited Warranty Policy
Effective Date: September 15, 2026
SITERWELL stands behind the quality and reliability of its products. This Limited Warranty applies to eligible SITERWELL products purchased directly through store.siterwellhome.com or through an authorized SITERWELL sales channel for which this manufacturer warranty is expressly applicable.
This Limited Warranty is provided in addition to any rights available to consumers under applicable federal, state, or local law.
1. Warranty Period
Unless a different warranty period is expressly stated on the applicable product page, packaging, user manual, promotional terms, or other official SITERWELL documentation, eligible SITERWELL products are covered by a:
3-Year Limited Manufacturer’s Warranty
The warranty period applicable to a particular product is determined by the warranty information presented for that product at the time of purchase.
Product Life vs. Warranty Period
Certain SITERWELL products may be designed with a 10-year product life, sensor life, or battery life. These specifications describe the product’s intended operating or service life under normal conditions. They do not extend the manufacturer’s warranty beyond the stated warranty period.
Actual product, sensor, and battery life may vary depending on operating conditions, installation environment, temperature, humidity, alarm frequency, maintenance, and other factors.
For ordinary returns within 30 days, see our Returns & Refunds Policy.
2. When the Warranty Begins
For purchases made directly through store.siterwellhome.com, the warranty period begins on the date the product is delivered to the customer.
For products purchased through an authorized third-party retailer or marketplace where this SITERWELL manufacturer warranty applies, the warranty period begins on the original purchase date shown on a valid receipt or order record.
Replacement products or components provided under warranty do not restart the original warranty period. They remain covered for the remainder of the original warranty period or 90 days from the replacement date, whichever is longer, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
3. Warranty Eligibility
To qualify for service under this Limited Warranty:
- The product must be a genuine SITERWELL product.
- The product must have been purchased directly through store.siterwellhome.com or through an authorized SITERWELL sales channel for which this manufacturer warranty applies.
- The applicable warranty period must still be active.
- Valid proof of purchase must be available.
- The product must have been installed, operated, tested, and maintained in accordance with the applicable user manual and product instructions.
- The customer must provide information and evidence reasonably necessary for SITERWELL to verify the claimed defect.
This Limited Warranty is generally provided to the original end-user purchaser, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
Products obtained through unauthorized sellers, liquidation sources, unknown third parties, or sources where product and purchase authenticity cannot reasonably be verified may not qualify for SITERWELL’s voluntary manufacturer warranty.
4. 30-Day Returns and Warranty Claims
SITERWELL’s standard return and exchange period is separate from this Limited Warranty.
Within 30 Days
Eligible returns, exchanges, or product-quality claims requested within 30 days after delivery are handled according to our Returns & Refunds Policy.
After 30 Days
Once the 30-day return period has expired, a request based on an alleged product defect will be handled as a Limited Warranty claim rather than a standard return.
For warranty claims submitted after the 30-day return period, the customer must provide sufficient objective information and evidence for SITERWELL to reasonably verify the identity of the product, the original purchase, the reported defect, the circumstances in which the issue occurred, and, where relevant, the condition of the affected product.
SITERWELL may request additional photographs, video, diagnostic information, product labels, serial numbers, date codes, troubleshooting results, or return of the affected product.
If the customer does not provide reasonably requested information or evidence sufficient to verify the alleged defect, SITERWELL may decline or close the voluntary warranty claim because the claimed defect cannot be substantiated.
In such circumstances, SITERWELL will have no obligation under this voluntary Limited Warranty to provide a replacement, refund, store credit, or other compensation, except to the extent otherwise required by applicable law.
5. How to Submit a Warranty Claim
Contact SITERWELL Customer Support at service@siterwellhome.com.
Please provide:
- Order number or proof of purchase
- Product model / SKU
- Photo of the product label, serial number, date code, or lot information where applicable
- Detailed description of the reported problem
- Explanation of when and how the issue occurred
- Troubleshooting steps already performed
- Clear photos or video showing the reported issue, where reasonably possible
For product instructions and troubleshooting resources, visit our Support Center.
SITERWELL may request additional information reasonably necessary to determine whether the reported condition qualifies for warranty coverage.
Products should not be returned without prior authorization from SITERWELL.
SITERWELL may require return or inspection of the affected product or component before approving a warranty remedy. Submission of a warranty request does not itself constitute approval of the claim.
6. Warranty Remedies — Replacement First
Once SITERWELL verifies that a product has a defect covered by this Limited Warranty, SITERWELL will determine the appropriate remedy based on the nature of the defect, product availability, safety considerations, and applicable law.
Replacement is SITERWELL’s preferred warranty remedy.
At SITERWELL’s discretion, an approved warranty claim may be resolved through:
- Replacement of the affected product;
- Replacement of an affected component;
- Repair, where appropriate and reasonably available;
- Replacement with a functionally equivalent model if the original model is unavailable; or
- Refund or another legally appropriate remedy where replacement or repair is not reasonably available, does not adequately resolve the covered defect, or applicable law requires another remedy.
A customer’s preference for a refund does not automatically require SITERWELL to issue a refund where an appropriate replacement or other warranty remedy is reasonably available.
Where a replacement is provided, SITERWELL may require return of the affected original product before or after shipment of the replacement. Replacement products may be new or equivalent units providing substantially comparable functionality, subject to applicable law.
7. Promotional, Clearance and Warranty-Excluded Products
A normal advertised discount or temporary reduction in price does not, by itself, automatically remove warranty coverage.
However, SITERWELL may designate particular products, inventory, or promotional campaigns as subject to different warranty terms.
Products may be excluded from this voluntary Limited Warranty where they are clearly identified before purchase as, for example:
- Warranty-Excluded Promotion
- Final Sale
- Clearance
- As-Is
- Open-Box
- Refurbished
- Sample / Demonstration Unit
- Promotional Giveaway
- Or another clearly disclosed limited-warranty category
Where such a designation applies, the applicable product page, promotional terms, offer terms, or checkout disclosure will identify the modified or excluded warranty coverage before the customer completes the purchase.
Products purchased through a promotion expressly identified before purchase as a “Warranty-Excluded Promotion” do not participate in SITERWELL’s voluntary manufacturer Limited Warranty, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
Any statutory consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded or restricted remain unaffected.
A promotional discount alone, without a clear warranty-exclusion designation made available before purchase, will not be treated as automatically cancelling an otherwise applicable SITERWELL manufacturer warranty. See our Promotional Terms.
8. What This Limited Warranty Covers
This Limited Warranty covers verified defects in materials or workmanship occurring during normal use within the applicable warranty period.
Examples may include verified failures of covered electronic components, sensors, power systems, controls, or other product components resulting from a manufacturing defect. Coverage remains subject to reasonable inspection, troubleshooting, diagnostic verification, or supporting evidence requested by SITERWELL.
9. What Is Not Covered
This Limited Warranty does not cover:
- Products outside the applicable warranty period;
- Products excluded pursuant to a clearly disclosed Warranty-Excluded Promotion or other applicable pre-sale warranty limitation;
- Products without sufficient proof of purchase;
- Claims where the alleged defect cannot reasonably be verified;
- Lost, stolen, discarded, destroyed, or otherwise unavailable products where the reported defect cannot reasonably be substantiated;
- Products purchased from unauthorized sellers;
- Normal wear and tear;
- Normal battery depletion or consumable component depletion;
- Cosmetic damage that does not affect product functionality;
- Damage caused by accident, impact, dropping, crushing, or abuse;
- Fire, flood, lightning, water exposure, abnormal power conditions, or other external events;
- Exposure to operating conditions outside those stated in the user manual;
- Improper installation, wiring, mounting, maintenance, storage, or use;
- Damage caused by incompatible equipment, voltage, accessories, batteries, wiring, HVAC systems, or third-party devices;
- Unauthorized modification, alteration, or repair where the modification or repair caused or contributed to the reported defect;
- Removal, alteration, or illegibility of serial numbers, labels, date codes, or other product identification where such information is reasonably required to verify the claim;
- Problems caused primarily by network services, Wi-Fi services, mobile devices, third-party applications, cloud services, smart-home platforms, or other products or services not supplied by SITERWELL;
- Damage resulting from failure to follow applicable product instructions;
- Products supplied free of charge for promotional, sample, demonstration, testing, or evaluation purposes unless warranty coverage is expressly provided.
A product reaching its expected service life is not considered defective solely because it has reached the end of that stated service life.
10. Marketplace and Third-Party Purchases
Products purchased through authorized marketplaces or retailers may be subject to the retailer’s own return procedures in addition to this manufacturer’s Limited Warranty where the warranty is expressly applicable to that authorized sales channel.
For purchases made through Amazon or another authorized marketplace, SITERWELL may request the original marketplace order number, seller information, proof of purchase, product identification information, and other reasonable information required to verify that the product originated from an authorized SITERWELL sales channel.
Customers may be directed to the original authorized seller or marketplace for order-level matters such as marketplace returns, transaction refunds, shipping disputes, or other matters governed by that platform.
11. SureCircle and Other Protection Plans
Optional accidental-damage protection, extended warranty coverage, or other protection plans provided through SureCircle or another third-party provider are separate from SITERWELL’s manufacturer Limited Warranty.
Claims under such plans are governed by the applicable provider’s own terms, eligibility requirements, exclusions, and claim procedures. Purchasing a third-party protection plan does not modify the duration or terms of SITERWELL’s manufacturer Limited Warranty unless expressly stated.
12. Bulk, Commercial and B2B Orders
For bulk purchases, commercial projects, distributor orders, contractor orders, or other B2B transactions, warranty terms contained in an applicable sales agreement, purchase order, quotation, distributor agreement, commercial invoice, or written project agreement may supplement or supersede this standard consumer Limited Warranty.
Where no separate written warranty terms exist, this policy applies to the extent appropriate to the transaction and permitted by applicable law.
13. Safety-Critical Products
Smoke alarms, carbon monoxide alarms, combination alarms, thermostats, and other safety or home-control products must be installed, tested, maintained, and replaced according to the applicable product instructions.
If a safety product reports a fault, cannot successfully complete a required self-test, has reached its stated end-of-life, has been damaged, or cannot reasonably be confirmed to be functioning correctly, customers should follow the applicable product instructions and replace the device where required.
Submission or review of a warranty claim does not extend a product’s stated safe service life and should not be treated as authorization to continue relying on a product displaying a fault or end-of-life condition.
14. Limitation of Warranty and Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, this Limited Warranty describes SITERWELL’s voluntary manufacturer warranty for covered products.
Any implied warranties that cannot legally be excluded remain subject to applicable law. Where permitted by law, the duration of any applicable implied warranty may be limited to the duration of this written Limited Warranty.
Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so such limitations may not apply to every customer.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SITERWELL will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use a product. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. These limitations therefore may not apply in every jurisdiction.
This Limited Warranty gives consumers specific legal rights, and consumers may also have additional rights that vary by state or jurisdiction.
