Compatibility
GS366 is designed for most compatible 24V residential HVAC systems, including conventional heating and cooling systems and many heat pump systems. Compatibility depends on your equipment, wiring, and number of heating and cooling stages.
Systems
GS366 is not designed for 110V, 120V, or 240V line-voltage systems, millivolt systems, or unsupported two-wire installations.
C-wire
GS366 requires continuous 24V power through the Rc and C terminals. For compatible systems without a C-wire, the included Power Extender Kit may provide an alternative installation method.

Many homeowners with compatible wiring can install GS366 by following the official installation guide. Turn off power to the HVAC system before removing the existing thermostat. Professional installation is recommended whenever the wiring is uncertain.
