After installing the detectors and only for one day, one of the detectors had problems. It started to chirp every10 seconds. The lights indicated everything was good.

It took me a bit to get this installed, it didn’t want to attach to the wall plate properly but I was able to finally get it. The alarm is loud, I have no doubt that it’ll wake us up if we happen to be asleep or anything else. I like the simple design and the voice feature is a nice addition compared to previous ones that I’ve had. I haven’t had to actually see it in action yet (I hope I never do), but I have done the test on it and there was no issues.

I started upgrading all my smoke detectors to dual alarms for carbon monoxide.I like the fact that it was super easy to switch them out. The wiring was straightforward and the included 10 year battery means I don’t have to worry about this thing for a long time.I didn’t fully test it with carbon monoxide and I hope I never really have to but the smoke sensors tested well.You never know you need to until it’s too late.

My husband had no problem installing this hardwired smoke detector (I must say, he does have professional electrical knowledge). I feel like the instructions were written well enough a novice could install it. The fact that we won't have to worry about changing the battery for 10 years is amazing! Before getting this smoke detector I'd actually removed our old smoke detector because the battery kept dying after a couple of months. I'm so glad we have detectors back up, but also don't have to worry about the battery beeping in the middle of the night. The smoke detector works well. I love the voice alert. I think the peace of mind and battery life on this smoke detector make it an excellent value at this price.
